Raleigh man charged in stabbing, restaurant robbery and series of crashes near Capital Blvd

WRAL News has learned a man is in custody after stabbing two people, robbing a restaurant and hitting multiple cars while trying to evade authorities in Raleigh on Wednesday night.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A man has been charged in connection with a stabbing, restaurant robbery and multiple crashes Wednesday night.

Reginald Monte Harrington, 49, has been charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, robbery with a dangerous weapon, and hit/run fail to stop property damage.

Harrington is accused of stabbing two people at an apartment on Dansey Drive before he drove off, hitting seven other vehicles.

Police say he eventually crashed his vehicle on East Millbrook Road and robbed the nearby Hibachi China Buffet at knife point. He was arrested outside the PetSmart, also on East Millbrook Road.

The stabbing victims were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The stabbing was brought on by a fight, according to police.

The incident is under investigation.
