RALEIGH, N.C. — A Raleigh man was arrested early Tuesday morning after he allegedly bit off the finger of another man.

George Benjamin Blake, 37, of 725 Locust Lane, was arrested on one count of assault resulting in serious bodily injury.

An arrest warrant alleges that Blake hit another man, identified as Thomas Blake, in the face and body and then bit off his finger.

It's unclear why the assault happened or how the two men know each other. The warrant indicates that both of them live at the same home.

George Blake was jailed under a $25,000 bond.
