Two Christmas shows open at Raleigh Little Theatre on Oct. 28

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas ... at least at Raleigh Little Theatre.

The community theater near Cameron Village in Raleigh will present together two family-friendly holiday musicals starting this weekend. The shows run on select dates from Oct. 28 - this Friday - to Nov. 13.

"A Charlie Brown Christmas" is based on the classic TV special where Charlie Brown, Snoopy and the rest of the gang grapple with the real meaning of Christmas.

Also included is "Jingle Bell Jukebox." Set in the 1950s, the show revolves around friends meeting at a soda shop to sing and dance to holiday tunes on the jukebox.

Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for kids. The run time of the two combined musicals is about an hour - so very manageable for a family audience. Ticket information is on Raleigh Little Theatre's website.
The show opens the company's 2016-17 youth series, which also includes "When She Had Wings" in March, about a young girl who dreams of flying and is visited by somebody who might be Amelia Earhart. "James and the Giant Peach" is in April.

If you buy a membership for all three shows in the family series, tickets are $43 for adults and teens and $30 for kids 12 and under.

Also coming up for families: "Cinderella," the theater's annual Christmas show. It runs Dec. 2 to Dec. 18.
