The fairy godmother greets fans at the Raleigh Little Theatre

Raleigh Little Theatre will celebrate the 25th anniversary of its Gaddy-Goodwin Teaching Theatre with a big event this Saturday.

Happy Birthday, Gaddy-Goodwin runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday. The day includes games, music, storytelling, food trucks, face painting, a pirate crown, costume relay races and an ice cream social. It's free and open to all ages.

It's a great opportunity to mark the wonderful classes and productions that the theater has offered to kids and families in the community for so many years.

RLT offers camps and classes for kids starting at age 4 and up. It also has a youth series with shows designed for families. This season includes "Mirandy and Brother Wind," Oct. 31 to Nov. 16; "The Velveteen Rabbit," March 6 to March 22; and "Sleeping Beauty," April 3 to April 12. Series subscriptions are on sale now.
Of course, the theater's production of "Cinderella" in December for the last many years is a family favorite too.
For more about Saturday's event and the schedule of activities, check the theater's website.
