Raleigh asks for resident input on rezoning plans
The City of Raleigh is planning to rezone about 30 percent of its land, and officials are asking residents for their input.

The city has mailed 45,534 postcards to property owners within Raleigh’s planned rezoning. The Zoning District Remapping Project is the final phase of implementing the Unified Development Ordinance that took effect last September. The districts that appear in the City of Raleigh’s old development code will be removed and replaced by one of the UDO districts, phasing out the old development code.
The last day of the comment period on the initial draft map is Sept. 30.
In an effort to educate the public about the remapping project, the city has established a website offering the following information:
