Central NC warms up after overnight freeze
High pressure just north and west of the state is helping create dry, chilly conditions Sunday. But a front moving in from the western part of the country could bring some rain Monday.

"We expect to see clear, blue skies for the rest of the day," WRAL meteorologist Mike Moss said.
High pressure just north and west of the state is helping create dry, chilly conditions Sunday. But a front moving in from the western part of the country could bring some rain Monday.
Monday's chance of rain peaks at 50 percent in the afternoon, and a high of 63 degrees is expected.
Moss said more spring-like temperatures are on the way.
Highs in the 60s are expected for most of the week. and a climb into the 70s will come on Friday.
"We've had some warm spells here the last couple of weeks from time to time, so I think a lot of people are thinking, 'Gosh, we're really having some cold weather late in the season," WRAL meteorologist Mike Moss said about the chilly weekend.
But data shows that chilly days can happen well into April and even later in North Carolina. In fact, freezing temperatures were recorded at Raleigh-Durham International Airport on May 10, 1977.
