RAEFORD, N.C. — A Raeford man will spend more than seven years in prison after pleading guilty to federal charges of possession of child pornography.

U.S. District Judge Louise W. Flanagan on Tuesday sentenced Adrian G. Perez, 33, to 85 months in prison, followed by a lifetime of supervised release. He was also fined $10,000.

Prosecutors said that Perez left a set of keys with a USB drive attached at Pope Air Force Base in October 2009. A service member opened the USB device to try to identify its owner and found child porn images. He contacted military police, who tracked the USB drive to Perez.

A search of Perez's home and computer turned up 440 images of child porn, prosecutors said.
