Raeford man imprisoned on federal child porn charges
A Raeford man will spend more than seven years in prison after pleading guilty to federal charges of possession of child pornography.
Posted — UpdatedU.S. District Judge Louise W. Flanagan on Tuesday sentenced Adrian G. Perez, 33, to 85 months in prison, followed by a lifetime of supervised release. He was also fined $10,000.
Prosecutors said that Perez left a set of keys with a USB drive attached at Pope Air Force Base in October 2009. A service member opened the USB device to try to identify its owner and found child porn images. He contacted military police, who tracked the USB drive to Perez.
A search of Perez's home and computer turned up 440 images of child porn, prosecutors said.
