Quail Ridge to host Captain Underpants author, sports writer Mike Lupica

Dav Pilkey of Captain Underpants fame and Mike Lupica, ESPN commentator and a popular sports writer for kids, are on the schedule.

Quail Ridge Books & Music's schedule includes some children's authors in the next month or so.

Here who is on the schedule:

7 p.m., Aug. 15: Tom Angleberger of "The Strange Case of Origami Yoda and Darth Paper Strikes Back" returns with his take on middle school: "The Secret of the Fortune Wookiee." For ages 9 and up.
4:30 p.m., Aug. 30: Dav Pilkey will bring the latest Captain Underpants saga, "Captain Underpants and the Terrifying Return of Tippy Tinkletrousers." This is a signing only event. Receive a ticket for the signing line with the purchase from Quail Ridge of Tippy. For ages 6 and up. Dav Pilkey will sign two books each, purchased at Quail Ridge, one of which must be Tippy.
4:30 p.m., Sept. 4: Mike Lupica, the ESPN commentator and New York Times bestselling author, is one of today's big sports writers for kids. He returns with his new book "True Legend" about 15-year-old phenom True, who finds his talent brings him many perks and much attention. But there's also a darker, downside with adults who'd take advantage of a young superstar. For ages 8 and up.
