Waldo, the bespectacled, striped-shirt-wearing character from the Where's Waldo books, is turning 25 and Quail Ridge Books, along with nearly two dozen other Raleigh businesses, are celebrating the occasion next month.
In July, Waldo will be hiding in a variety of local businesses that are part of Shop Local Raleigh. You're invited to go find Waldo at each of the businesses. When you spot him, collect a card and check the box off your list.
When you have 10 different cards, you then take them to Quail Ridge Books & Music to be entered into a drawing for a six book deluxe set of Waldo books and a lot of other prizes. Click here for the very extensive list.

My older daughter is a huge fan of the Waldo series and I suspect this is going to be a fun activity over the next few weeks for us.

The event ends with a celebration and prize drawing at 6 p.m., Aug. 1, at Quail Ridge Books, which is on Wade Avenue in Raleigh.
