PSNC Energy truck stolen in Durham
A work truck was stolen from PSNC Energy's North Durham Operations Center this weekend. PSNC asked customers to be wary of people who show up unexpectedly and claim to be PSNC workers.

The truck is a white 2007 Ford F-150 with North Carolina tag CC-3486. Its company identification number is 10279. A PSNC logo and phone number are on the door and tailgate.
Company officials said customers should be wary of people using the truck to pose PSNC employees. Customers should always ask for identification if someone claiming to be a PSNC worker shows up unexpectedly.
“Typically, we communicate by phone or in writing before an employee arrives to perform any work at a customer’s home or business, but there are certain occasions when we have to work on our pipeline system with no prior notice,” said PSNC Energy Customer Service Manager James English.
PSNC employees should always be wearing blue uniforms and carrying white company ID badges.
“We encourage our customers to ask for company identification whenever our employees are working on their property or even in their neighborhood,” English added.
If anyone driving a PSNC Energy truck arrives unannounced and without proper PSNC Energy identification, customers should call the company’s toll-free customer service line at 1-877-776-2427 for verification or dial 911 if they feel threatened.
Anyone who has information about the stolen truck should call the Durham Police Department at 919-560-4427.
