Probationer wanted in fatal shooting
A Goldsboro man placed on probation in April has become a suspect in January shooting death.
Posted — UpdatedAn arrest warrant for murder was issued Friday against Andre Devon Weeks, 26, in the Jan. 1 slaying of Larry Donnell Mathis Jr.
Officers responding to calls about gunshots found Mathis, 34, lying dead in the 400 block of Woodrow Street around 3:20 a.m.
Weeks is described as a black man, 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing 150 pounds.

Weeks was placed on probation April 19 after being convicted of driving with a revoked license, according to state Department of Correction records.
His criminal record dates to 2000 and includes convictions for assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, assault inflicting serious injury, common-law robbery, possession of a firearm by convicted felon and assault on a female, among others.
