Pro wrestler arrested on drug charges

Moore County sheriff's deputies found Vicodin, Soma, anabolic steroids, a residual amount of cocaine and drug paraphernalia in a search of Jeff Hardy's home at 265 Boys Camp Road.

CAMERON, N.C. — A world-champion tag team wrestler was arrested in Cameron Friday on charges he bought and sold prescription drugs and anabolic steroids, police said.

Jeff Hardy, 32, performed with his brother, Matt, 34, as the Hardy Boyz in World Wrestling Entertainment. Jeff Hardy also held the WWE heavyweight title for a couple of weeks earlier this year.

Moore County sheriff's deputies found Vicodin, Soma, anabolic steroids, a residual amount of cocaine and drug paraphernalia in a search of Hardy's home at 265 Boys Camp Road.

He was charged with trafficking in opium, possession with intent to sell or deliver a controlled substance, maintaining a dwelling to keep controlled substance, possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Jeff Hardy was released from jail on a $125,000 bond on Friday.
