RALEIGH, N.C. — An escaped Kentucky inmate is wanted in connection with a Raleigh bank robbery, authorities said Thursday.

Anthony Ray Artrip escaped from the Grant County Detention Center in Williamston, Ky., on June 24 while awaiting sentencing in federal court for three counts of bank robbery, authorities said.

Since then, authorities have linked him to a June 30 bank robbery in Princeton, W.Va., and the July 2 robbery of a Wachovia branch in Raleigh's Five Points neighborhood, authorities said.

State and federal authorities have issued a warrant for Artrip in connection with the Raleigh robbery.
