RALEIGH, N.C. — Prairie Ridge Ecostation in west Raleigh has a new StoryWalk.

The ecosation, which is the outdoor learning center for the N.C. Museum of Natural Sciences, has posted a StoryWalk featuring the picture book "Are You a Ladybug?" by Judy Allen and Tudor Humphries.

The StoryWalk will be posted through July 31. The hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday. It's closed on Sundays and Mondays. Check the museum's website for more information.

StoryWalks feature the laminated pages of a picture book posted along a quick walk or trail. You can read the book while you take the walk. These are fun for toddlers to early readers.

Prarire Ridge also recently reopened its nature playground. So the StoryWalk makes for a nice addition of you want to spend a few hours there.
StoryWalks have become really popular locally during the pandemic. Wake County Parks also regularly offer them as do several Chapel Hill parks.
