The bones were discovered Friday in a ditch behind Fellowship Baptist Church.

Sheriff's deputies investigating the scene Saturday found more bones. They said the bones may have been there for some time.

The remains were taken to the State Medical Examiner's Office in Chapel Hill to be examined further.
