Popular lighthouse tours open with free day
The Bodie Island and Cape Hatteras lighthouses will open for the season on April 15. Tours run daily, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. through Oct. 10.

BUXTON, N.C. — The Bodie Island and Cape Hatteras lighthouses will open for the season on April 15. Tours run daily, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. through Oct. 10.
Climbing tickets – $8 for adults and $4 for senior citizens (62 or older), children 11 years of age and under and those holding a National Parks pass – are available daily on a first come/first served basis at the lighthouses.
Admission on opening day, April 15, is free.
