I'm going to count myself among the lucky. My husband takes over the kitchen at Thanksgiving, Christmas and some other special events and holidays at our house and cooks up an amazing, gourmet meal.

I pitch in and make cranberry sauce - usually the standard sugar, water and cranberry recipe from the bag. And then I try a new recipe most years, mixing in everything from pears to currants and champagne (that was a yummy one).

But the turkey, dressing, gravy, rolls, salad, veggie, potatoes, etc.? That falls to my husband. My mom brings the pie.

The bad news is this: The dishes are all on me.

So what's happening in your house? Vote in our poll. And if you're looking for some ways to cut costs this Thanksgiving, WRAL Smart Shopper Faye Prosser has some great tips.

Happy Thanksgiving!
