Police: Woman stole from Realtors group
Janet Cavalier, 47, was charged with three counts of larceny by employee and 13 counts each of forgery and uttering a forged endorsement.
Posted — UpdatedROCKY MOUNT, N.C. — A woman has been charged with embezzling from the Rocky Mount Area Association of Realtors, police said Monday.
Janet Cavalier, 47, was charged with three counts of larceny by employee and 13 counts each of forgery and uttering a forged endorsement.
Police began investigating a possible theft in August, when the Realtor group reported that about $265,000 was missing.
Cavalier was arrested Thursday and was released on a $200,000 unsecured bond.
