Police: Woman stabbed boyfriend with butcher knife

Gwendolyn Yvette Winters was charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury in connection with the stabbingat 409-103D Donald Ross Drive.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh police said that a woman stabbed her boyfriend in the leg with a butcher knife during a fight in an apartment complex off New Bern Avenue around 3 a.m. Thursday.

Gwendolyn Yvette Winters was charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury in connection with the stabbing at 409-103D Donald Ross Drive.

Police said that Winters's boyfriend, whose name wasn't released, had non-life-threatening injuries. He was taken to WakeMed Hospital.
