FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville police have arrested a man who they say sexually assaulted a woman before stealing her car Monday afternoon.

Following the assault, Jones made the victim get back into her car and told her to drive. While driving, the victim saw several people in a parking lot of Freddy’s at 1548 Bingham Drive and pulled in, jumped from the car, and ran inside the business.

Jones drove away with the car, which was found abandoned a short time later.
