Raleigh police are asking for help in solving a string of armed robberies at convenience stores that they believe are related.

Police Seek Suspect in Raleigh Hold-Ups
RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh police are asking for help in solving a string of armed robberies at convenience stores that they believe are related.

Nine convienence stores saw seven robberies and two attempted robberies from early June to this week, said investigators.

Stores on New Bern Avenue were targeted five times, while robbers struck once at stores on Falls of Neuse Road, Peace Street, St. Mary’s Street and Hillsborough Street, police said.

Witnesses reported one suspect in eight of the robberies but said two suspect were involved in the ninth.

Police said they are looking for a black male with a very light complexion and slender build, standing between 5 feet 8 inches and 6 feet tall. He carried a handgun and wore dark clothing and a black ski mask at the robberies, police said.
