Police Seek Injured Chapel Hill Burglar
Police on Monday were seeking a burglar who was injured during a break-in early Friday.
Posted — UpdatedOfficers responded to a reported burglary at 329 Tenny Circle at about 3:20 a.m. Friday and found that the burglar had escaped through a glass door, severely cutting his or her scalp. There was a large amount of blood on the patio and a trail of blood leading to North Street, police said.
A resident at 606 North St. was awoke to find someone had broken into the home and had stolen a cell phone and a 2004 Acura MDX sport utility vehicle, with North Carolina license plate TRH-973. The thief left a large amount of blood in the hallway and kitchen areas, police said.
