WILSON, N.C. — As authorities continued searching Saturday for Isabel Calvo Palacios, the 20-year-old's family caravanned around the Wilson area hoping someone would come forward with new information surrounding her disappearance.

Officials said Palacios was last seen by friends July 31 at 4710 Ward Blvd., the home of a convicted felon.

The owner of the house, Gregory Parks, 55, was convicted of manslaughter and attempted rape in the 80s. In 2013, he was convicted of two counts of participating in prostitution with a minor, and was given a decades-long prison sentence.

The Court of Appeals overturned his conviction last year, citing insufficient evidence.

On Saturday, Palacios' family members drove around the area holding signs and pictures of her face, hoping someone would recognize the woman.

"We are a family of over 100 people...and we all miss her," said Gloria Cortez, Palacios' aunt. "We have gatherings and we really do miss her. She's a happy, young girl."

Palacios is 5 feet, 2 inches tall, has brown hair and brown eyes. Friends and family said Palacios often carries a black purse with a black bow.

The search is ongoing, and detectives are continuing to investigate the Ward Boulevard location for additional information.

Police have not named Parks as a suspect, or a person of interest.

Anyone with information about Palacios is encouraged to call the Wilson Police Department at 252-399-2323 or Crime Stoppers at 252-243-2255.
