Police search for Zebulon bank robber

A man brandishing a handgun walked into the RBC branch at 300 N. Arendell Ave. in Zebulon at about 9:10 a.m. Wednesday and demanded cash from a teller, police said.

ZEBULON, N.C. — Police were searching Wednesday for a man who robbed an RBC Bank branch.

A man brandishing a handgun walked into the RBC branch at 300 N. Arendell Ave. at about 9:10 a.m. Wednesday and demanded cash from a teller, police said.

He fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. Police said he was last seen running west on Sycamore Street.

The robber is described as a black man, about 5 feet 8 inches tall and 180 pounds. He was wearing a black T-shirt, black pants, boots, a black stocking cap and a bandanna.
