Police search for missing Fayetteville woman

Fayetteville police were searching Monday for a 53-year-old woman who is missing without her prescription medication.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville police were searching Monday for a 53-year-old woman who is missing without her prescription medication.

Margie Ellen Bernard McLaurin was last seen by her family Sunday afternoon in the Eccles Park subdivision, police said. She doesn't have a vehicle and is believed to be on foot. 

The North Carolina Center for Missing Persons has issued a Silver Alert for McLaurin, who is described as a black woman with black hair and brown eyes, standing 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing about 140 pounds. She has no upper teeth.

She was last seen wearing a striped collared shirt over a tan T-shirt, blue jeans, black slip-on shoes and a black and white purse. 

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call 911 or Crime Stoppers at 910-483-8477.
