Police search for man in armed Raleigh bank robbery

Authorities said that a man entered the People's Bank at 3023 Capital Boulevard at about 10:20 a.m. and displayed a firearm while demanding money from a teller.

Police search for man in armed Raleigh bank robbery
RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh police are searching for a man who robbed a Raleigh bank Tuesday morning.

Authorities said that a man entered the People’s Bank at 3023 Capital Boulevard at about 10:20 a.m. and displayed a firearm while demanding money from a teller.

After the teller complied, the man fled the bank and was last seen heading north from the area on foot, said police.

The suspect was described as a heavyset man in his 30s to 40s who is about 6 feet tall. He had black, curly, shoulder-length hair and a mustache and was wearing glasses, a gray hooded sweatshirt, dark-colored pants, and a black knit hat.
