Police search for Durham shooting suspects

Ronald Girard Ransom, 20, of South Elm Street, and Desmond Deloach, 16, of South Alston Avenue, have been charged in a series of shootings that occurred in the South Elm Street area between June 27 and June 29, police said Thursday.

DURHAM, N.C. — Police are searching for two men wanted in connection with several shootings.

Ronald Girard Ransom, 20, of South Elm Street, and Desmond Deloach, 16, of South Alston Avenue, have been charged in a series of shootings that occurred in the South Elm Street area between June 27 and June 29, police said Thursday.

During the shootings one woman was shot in the leg and several vehicles and residences were damaged.

Ransom and Deloach have both been charged with one count of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, 11 counts of discharging a firearm into an occupied property and several counts of damage to property.
