RALEIGH, N.C. — A 4-year-old boy who wandered away from home was reunited with his father Friday morning after getting in some video-game time with police.

The boy left the home while his father was asleep and his mother was at work, the father said. Police found him wandering near Crown Oaks Drive and Huey Court, off Six Forks Road in north Raleigh.

Officers took the boy back to a nearby police substation, where he played some video games while officers searched for his parents. They were able to close the case after his father called police to report his son missing.

Police withheld the family's name.
