RALEIGH, N.C. — The Raleigh Police Department and Crime Stoppers launched a program Friday to curb gun crimes.

The Raleigh Gun Crime Stoppers program will pay people up to $200 for anonymous tips that lead to an arrest and the confiscation of illegal weapons.

People can call Crime Stoppers at 919-834-HELP (4357) to report someone who possesses a firearm illegally.
