Police: Man used ashtray to assault pair in Goldsboro

A man was arrested Friday after he assaulted two victims with an ashtray.

GOLDSBORO, N.C. — A man was arrested Friday after he assaulted two victims with an ashtray.

Officers with the Goldsboro Police Department charged 33-year-old Anthony Jackson with two counts of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury and two counts of first-degree kidnapping.

Police said Jackson used an ashtray to assault Nathan Breshears and Linzi Page at his home at 507 Wayne Ave. Jackson also used a knife to threaten the pair and refused to let them leave the home.

Breshears and Page were transported to Wayne Memorial Hospital following the incident. The extent of their injuries is unknown.

Jackson was placed in the Wayne County Jail under a $300,000 secured bond.
