RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh police said that a 25-year-old man was stabbed late Monday when he broke into his ex-girlfriend's home.

William H. Horne broke in the apartment at 3800 Polly St. shortly before midnight, and a fight broke out, police said. Horne was stabbed in the chest.

Police said his injuries are non-life-threatening.

Once he's released from the hospital, Horne will be charged with misdemeanor breaking and entering, assault on a female, damage to property and endangering the welfare of a child.
