On Sunday, Rocky Mount police said they arrested a man on Friday they say smuggled over 20 pounds of heroin on an Amtrack train.

According to the Rocky Mount Police Department, officers arrested 57-year-old Keith Haskins after a months-long investigation into drug trafficking.

Police said during their investigation, they learned Haskins used an Amtrak train to bring heroin into Rocky Mount. The train, the Amtrak Silver Meteor southbound from New York, stops just before midnight every night in the city.
