Fayetteville police were investigating a shooting Saturday. It happened near Hope Mills and Watauga roads.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville police were investigating a shooting Saturday. It happened near Hope Mills and Watauga roads.

Officers said a man was shot in the forehead.  He was transported to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center and then life-flighted to UNC Hospital. His name has not been released.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call Fayetteville police at 910-433-1856 or Crimestoppers at 910-483-8477.
