Police on Saturday identified the woman who was found dead after a fire at a Fayetteville home.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Police on Saturday identified the woman who was found dead after a fire at a Fayetteville home.

Rachel Leal, 53, died in the Sept. 6 fire at 2519 McNeill Circle, police said. Her husband, 56-year-old Patrick Leal, was able to escape the house and was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation.

Three dogs were also found dead inside the home.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
