FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville police have released the identities of a man and teenager shot in a crowded Fayetteville park Sunday evening.

Quenten Harley, 28, was seriously injured and D'Angelo Brown, 16, suffered minor injuries during the shooting on a basketball court in Seabrook Park, 716 Langdon St., around 7:30 p.m. Sunday.

Harley was in critical condition Monday but is expected to recover, police said. They declined to release his location out of safety concerns.

Police said that gunfire erupted during a fight on the basketball court. They are searching for a black man, with close-cut hair, wearing green shorts and a blue T-shirt. He arrived at the park in a light-colored SUV and fled on foot.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Fayetteville police detectives at 910-433-1856 or Crime Stoppers at 910-483-8477. Crime Stoppers pays cash rewards for anonymous tips that solve crimes.
