Police ID Remains Found Behind School
Police on Thursday identified human remains found last week behind Bethesda Elementary School on South Miami Boulevard.
Posted — UpdatedDURHAM, N.C. — Police on Thursday identified human remains found last week behind Bethesda Elementary School on South Miami Boulevard.
Cornelius Wayne Johnson, 26, of Raleigh, was reported missing to the Raleigh Police Department on Sept. 22, police said. His remains were found last Friday morning by a landscaping crew in some woods between Bethesda Elementary and houses off Glenco Road.
Students were kept away from the area, and classes weren't affected by the incident, school officials said.
A cause of death hasn't yet been determined, police said.
