Police ID man shot in Fayetteville apartment

A 25-year-old man was shot inside an apartment at Cambridge Arms in Fayetteville Monday afternoon, police said.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville police have released the name of a man killed Monday afternoon and a description of a possible suspect.

Jacalvin Devaughn Battle, 25, was shot inside an apartment in the 50 block of Cambridge Arms and ran out to a wooded area behind the apartment complex, where he died.

Police described the possible suspect as a light-skinned black man, about 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing 160 pounds. He had dreadlocks and was wearing a white T-shirt and black shorts.
