Police ID man killed in Durham shooting

Police found a 41-year-old man who had been shot lying on the side of the road at 610 Troy St. in Durham early Sunday, officers said.

DURHAM, N.C. — Police on Wednesday identified a man killed in a weekend shooting.

Garba Gajam Mohammed, 41, of Lake Woodard Drive in Raleigh, was found on the side of the road at 610 Troy St. in Durham early Sunday, police said.

Mohammed had been shot, and he died at Duke University Hospital, police said.

Police haven't released other details of the case, such as a motive or descriptions of suspects.
