Durham police were investigating early Monday after an employee at a McDonald's on N.C. Highway 55 was shot in the leg.

DURHAM, N.C. — Durham police were investigating early Monday after an employee at a McDonald's on N.C. Highway 55 was shot in the leg.
The shooting happened shortly after 5 a.m. during what authorities said was an attempted armed robbery.
Police said the employee, a man whose name hasn't been released, suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
No arrests have been made in the incident.
