Police continue search for missing Raleigh man
Gerald Lee Mitchell Jr., 57, is believed to be suffering from dementia or some other cognitive impairment.
Posted — UpdatedA Silver Alert was issued on Jan. 21 for Gerald Lee Mitchell Jr., who is believed to be suffering from dementia or some other cognitive impairment.
He is described as a white man, 5 feet 9 inches tall and 130 pounds. He has medium-length brown hair and blue eyes.
Mitchell was last seen wearing a black hat, black puffy coat, blue jeans and brown suede boots with fur.
Authorities said Mitchell walks with a slumped posture and slides or drags his feet while walking. He has a barbed-wire tattoo on one of his arms and is left-hand. He writes with a cupped “overhand” style. He typically wears a solid stainless steel bracelet on his right wrist and a necklace with a tiger eye stone that is shaped like a shark’s tooth.
No foul play is expected in Mitchell's disappearance.
