Police concerned for missing Goldsboro girl's well being

Wayne County authorities on Tuesday asked all local media outlets to rebroadcast a picture of a Goldsboro teen who has been missing since April 13.

GOLDSBORO, N.C. — Wayne County authorities on Tuesday asked all local media outlets to rebroadcast a picture of a Goldsboro teen who has been missing since April 13.

Ashlee Michelle Davenport, 16, left her family home on Buck Swamp Road in Goldsboro wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, gray pants with monkeys on them and two-tone brown Sperry’s shoes, according to her parents, Mike Davenport and Michelle Edwards.

"We have not received any info pertaining to her whereabouts. We are concerned for her well being," Capt. Tom Effler wrote in an e-mail to the media.

Ashlee is approximately 5 feet, 6 inches tall with blond hair and hazel eyes, her parents said. The parents said Ashlee was recently diagnosed with a heart condition and needs to have medication.
