A Cary mother was charged Thursday after police say she left her 1-year-old son in a van while she shopped at Walmart on Kildaire Farm Road.

CARY, N.C. — A Cary mother was charged Thursday after police say she left her 1-year-old son in a van while she shopped at Walmart on Kildaire Farm Road.
Daniela Stoyanov, 37, faces one count of misdemeanor child abuse.
Police say Stoyanov left the child alone in the van for more than 30 minutes. Someone walking through the parking lot saw the boy and called police.
