Police asking for help investigating homicide after man found at Raleigh bus stop

On Feb. 24, Nathaniel Price, 67, was located by a passing motorist at a bus stop along New Bern Avenue near the intersection of Trawick Road. Price had life-threatening injuries and later died at Duke Hospital.

Police are investigating it as a homicide.

Price had 12 siblings: Six brothers and six sisters. Two have now passed.

WRAL News spoke with Nathaniel Price's brothers Jerry Price and David Price.

"Whoever did it needs to come forward," Jerry Price said.

David Price echoed his brother's sentiments.

"I don't know what they did, rob him or whatever, but they need to come forward and they need to be caught for all they've done to my brother," David Price said.

David Price said the incident happened on the same night of his birthday.

"I'll never for that because it's my brother and I love my brother," David Price said. "He was at the wrong place that night at the bus station."

Jerry Price said it was difficult decision whether to take Nathaniel Price off life support.

"He was on life support for three weeks...he was entirely brain dead," Jerry Price said.

Jerry Price said his brother was hit in the head with a heavy object. He did not know how many times his brother had gotten hit.

"[A] detective told me at the crime scene if he was found two [to] three minutes later, he would have been dead," Jerry Price said of his brother.

Nathaniel Price's family members told WRAL News that he took medication for depression and would leave his house for a day or two. The family filed a missing persons report when he didn't come back before authorities found him.

Price's family members are distributing flyers with the hope that there's enough outrage to inspire someone with information to come forward.
