Final suspects arrested in November Durham homicide

Durham police have arrested a third man in connection with the November shooting death of 53-year-old Paul Jones, and are still seeking an additional suspect.

DURHAM, N.C. — Durham police have arrested a two more men in connection with the November shooting death of 53-year-old Paul Jones.

Authorities said that Rashad Neal, 21, was arrested Thursday at the Budget Inn at Kenbridge, Virginia. He was charged with first-degree murder and felony conspiracy.

The final suspect, Jonathan Mclendon, 19, or Durham surrendered to teh Durham County Jail Thursday night. He was also wanted on charges of first-degree murder and felony conspiracy

On Nov. 16, officers were dispatched to a call about a man lying in the street in the 1200 block of Scout Drive. The officers found Jones dead of an apparent gunshot wound.

Tyquan Nelson, 18, of Durham was arrested Sunday morning and charged with first-degree murder and felony conspiracy in connection to the death of Paul Jones.

Corinthian Eddie Bowens, 16, was arrested and charged with count of murder on Thursday, according to a news release from the Durham Police Department.

Bowens was placed in Durham County jail without bond.
