Pinecrest High student drowns in Moore County lake
A 16-year-old who attended Pinecrest High School in Southern Pines died late Friday after drowning in Big Juniper Lake in Seven Lakes, according to the Aberdeen Times.

SEVEN LAKES, N.C. — A 16-year-old who attended Pinecrest High School in Southern Pines died late Friday after drowning in Big Juniper Lake in Seven Lakes, according to the Aberdeen Times.
Mason Wagner died after jumping into the lake off a dock at about 6:30 p.m., authorities said. Rescue crews found Wagner's body shortly before 11 p.m.
No other information about the circumstances of his death have been released.
Wagner was a member of the Pinecrest football and wrestling teams and a member of the school's ROTC program.
