RALEIGH, N.C. — What started off as an April Fools joke, actually had some truth to it. At Pie Pushers’ five-year anniversary Friday, owners announced that they plan to open a location above The Pinhook in Durham. The restaurant is expected to open later this year.

Carrboro Farmers Market’s Evening Eats
The Carrboro Farmers Market opens its Wednesday hours this week. Hours are 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. with an Evening Eats event featuring local food trucks from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Participating food trucks include Baguettaboutit, BulKogi, Gussy’s, La Mesa Cantina and Tar Heel Creamery. There will be beer from Steel String Brewing and music by Dogwood Blossom.
Knightdale’s Food Truck Thursdays
This Thursday starts Food Truck Thursdays at Knightdale Station Park. Based on request, the town has expanded the service to include dinner! The Town has seating setup under the park’s pavilion, so feel free to comedown and enjoy the Park.

To kick off the new dinner service, Bam Pow Chow, Two Roosters Ice Cream, and Virgil’s Jamaica will be here.  There will also be live music from Four Founders.  Lunch with Chirba Chirba will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and dinner will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Full Frame Film Festival’s Free Outdoor Screening
Full Frame, a well-known international film festival dedicated to documentary film format, includes free outdoor screenings at Durham Central Park Friday and Saturday. American Meltdown, Chick-N-Que, CJ’s Street Food, Pie Pushers and Two Roosters Ice Cream will be among those serving.
Downtown Cary’s Food and Flea
This weekend is the second Sunday of the month, which means Downtown Cary’s Food and Flea market in Ashworth Village takes place. This monthly event has many craft vendors, local beer, and a food truck. You can catch Cousins Maine Lobster here. The event takes place from noon to 4 p.m.
Also, Cary will have their Chatham Street Chowdown on Sunday, April 17. We’ll provide more details next week, but circle your calendars now.
Berkeley Café Takeover Tuesdays featuring chef collaborations
This Tuesday, Cousins Maine Lobster chef Lucas Albrecht will be participating in Takeover Tuesday at Berkeley Café. ​ The Berkeley Café's Takeover Tuesday runs 6 to 9 p.m. Reservations are recommended, but not required.
​Downtown Raleigh Food Truck Rodeo releasing 2016 VIP wristbands
Ever wanted to be first in line for your favorite food trucks? The Downtown Raleigh Food Truck Rodeo has announced its dates for this year: May 1, June 12, Aug. 7 and Oct. 9. VIP early admission wristbands, which let you get in to buy food before the general public, are on sale now.​

April 9: Burke Street Food Truck Festival - Burke Street closed off in Winston Salem with food trucks. Many Triangle trucks will be there.

April 10: Revolution Mill Food Truck Festival and Open House - check out the new renovations to the Greensboro-area event center

Second Saturday of each month: Gibsonville’s Grove Winery will host NC Food Truck Rodeos
