Male pedestrian dies after being hit by two cars in Durham

A man was killed Tuesday night after being struck by two vehicles on Old Oxford Road between Roxboro Street and Dearborn Drive, Durham police said.

DURHAM, N.C. — A man was killed Tuesday night after being struck by two vehicles on Old Oxford Road between Roxboro Street and Dearborn Drive, Durham police said.

The victim was crossing the street at about 8:30 p.m. when he was struck by one vehicle, then hit by a second vehicle, police said. The man, whose identity is currently unknown, was pinned under the second vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators are determining what caused the accident and if any charges will be filed.
