NASHVILLE, N.C. — Teacher supplements will increase by four percentage points over the next three years for Nash-Rocky Mount teachers as part of a budget approved by the school board and Nash County commissioners.

Supplements will increase by two percentage points for the 2014-15 school year and one point each for the 2015-16 and 2016-17 school years.

Additional funding will also be available for school security and other capital outlay needs, the district said in a statement.

“Both the school board and the board of commissioners feel this is a great day for the school system, its students, its teachers and the community it serves,” the district said.
