Part of Wade Avenue in Raleigh closing for water improvement project

A portion of Wade Avenue will be closed for two weeks between Capital Boulevard and Scales Street for a water improvement project.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A portion of Wade Avenue will be closed for two weeks between Capital Boulevard and Scales Street, in the Five Points area, for a water improvement project.

The right lane of westbound Wade Avenue will be closed in the area on nine weekdays, to include:

  • Tuesday, July 5 through Friday, July 8 between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
  • Monday, July 11 through Friday, July 15 between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Crews from Raleigh Water will be working on sewer improvements.

Drivers can expect delays and are asked to avoid the area if possible.

There may be changes to the construction schedule due to weather or other conditions.
