Baileywick Park in north Raleigh right near the intersection of Creedmoor Road and Interstate 540 isn't a large park.

But, whenever I run into moms who live in this part of town, they always say they're frequent visitors to its playground.

The large playground area features traditional play pieces for younger and older kids, along with a sand area and bouncy spring animals to ride on. The surface under all of the equipment is mulch.

You'll also find two ball fields, picnic shelters, bathrooms and a walking path. The bathrooms are open daily from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. The park, like all parks in Raleigh, is open from dawn to dusk.

I shot this video of the park earlier this year (thus the leaves on the trees). For a closer look at the park, watch the video.

Baileywick Park is at 9501 Baileywick Rd. in Raleigh.
